Measuring Breastfeeding Promotion

Measuring Breastfeeding Promotion

The Family Larsson-Rosenquist Foundation is providing USD 638,000 for the purpose of funding a research project at the renowned Yale School of Public Health in New Haven, Connecticut, USA. In this project, a method will be developed which, in the future, will enable those responsible at national level to measure the effectiveness and progress of their national breastfeeding promotion programmes and, based on defined indicators, to compare the success of their programmes with that of other countries.

The study's long-term objective is to identify the concrete measures a country can take to sustainably increase its breastfeeding rates.
