The language of lactation, which includes ‘breastfeeding’ and ‘breastmilk’, can differ widely, causing confusion for healthcare providers, mothers, researchers and others.

To create consistency and eliminate confusion arising from conflicting terminology, The University of Western Australia and the Family Larsson-Rosenquist Foundation developed LactaPedia – A glossary of lactation for science and medicine.

The new resource is easily accessible and open to everyone. You can discover more here, and keep current on related developments by subscribing to our newsletter.
