It’s World Breastfeeding Week, and this year’s theme is ‘Protect Breastfeeding: A Shared Responsibility’.
Breastfeeding is the single most effective intervention to improve a baby’s health and chance for a better life. Yet despite decades of investment, breastfeeding rates are still frustratingly low: millions of women and families worldwide don’t have the support they need to provide breastmilk to their children. It’s time for new ideas to accelerate progress.
New ideas are exactly what emerge from Trainee Expansion Program grant recipients. This is why we and ISRHML recharged TEP for five more years, offering two types of grant – up to USD $10,000 or up to USD $100,000 – to early career researchers in human milk and lactation. 2021 applications open TODAY!
In honour of #WBW2021, we will showcase past grant recipients throughout the week on LinkedIn. Stay tuned … or visit the TEP Hall of Fame if you can’t wait.
