The University of California San Diego and FLRF establish the Larsson-Rosenquist Foundation Mother-Milk-Infant Center of Research Excellence (LRF MOMI CORE)

LRF MOMI CORE was jointly founded to bring experts across research, education and clinical practice together in discovering how breastmilk and its biological mechanisms can lend to the health and development of infants, mothers and society.

Located at the UC San Diego School of Medicine, LRF MOMI CORE is the world’s first interdisciplinary research center to explore breastmilk from a comprehensive, long-term perspective.

By connecting the sciences and fostering collaborations among experts, LRF MOMI CORE aims to meet global health challenges presented by killers like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer and infectious superbugs.
