ADDING THE ‘EVIDENCE’ INGREDIENT TO NUTRITIONAL ADVICE FOR BREASTFEEDING MOMS

Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Germany, with support from the Family Larsson-Rosenquist Foundation, is investigating how the nutrients a mother consumes affect an infant’s metabolome, growth and health outcomes. The partners’ overarching goals: develop evidence-based recommendations and best-practice advice for mothers about dietary intake both before and during lactation.
