LactaMap – An online lactation care support system, provides medical practitioners with evidence-based information to help them resolve lactation challenges and support breastfeeding mothers and their infants at the point of care.

LactaMap content was researched and developed by the LactaResearch Group at The University of Western Australia (UWA), under the leadership of Senior Research Fellow Melinda Boss and Emeritus Professor Peter Hartmann.

The open access resource was brought online with support from FLRF and was officially launched during the March 2019 Breastfeeding Innovations Team webinar, hosted by Leith Greenslade of JustActions.org.

LactaMap contains over 100 evidence-based clinical practice guidelines, LactaPedia (a glossary of lactation for science and medicine) and over 20 information sheets that can be printed or emailed to patients,
