Science, on mother-breastmilk-infant “triad”

An article co-authored by Professor Lars Bode, Director of the Larsson-Rosenquist Foundation Mother-Milk-Infant Center of Research Excellence at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine, has been published in Science.

Together with researchers from the UK, the US and the WHO, Professor Bode calls for “timely investments in research designed to clarify the operations and biological effects of the mother-breastmilk-infant “triad” and their translation into public health”.

'Understanding the mother-breastmilk-infant “triad”' was co-authored by: researchers from the Edison Family Center for Genome Sciences and Systems Biology, the Center for Gut Microbiome and Nutrition Research, Washington University School of Medicine (St. Louis, MO, USA), the Warwick Medical School, University of Warwick (Coventry, UK) and the Departments of Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health and Ageing, World Health Organization, (Geneva, Switzerland).
