It’s now easier to study 2 key building blocks of the human brain...

... thanks to a team led by the Larsson-Rosenquist Foundation Center for Neurodevelopment, Growth and Nutrition of the Newborn (LRF NGN).

They developed an efficient, scalable way to grow the brain cells that support the central nervous system. Researchers in neuroscience, stem cell biology, and regenerative medicine now have a reliable new tool to grow neurons and oligodendrocytes, and study critical brain development and disorders.

Details have been published in the Bio-Protocol journal (Human iPSC-Derived Neuron and Oligodendrocyte Co-culture as a Small-Molecule Screening Assay for Myelination). Read them here

FLRF is a proud co-sponsor of this pioneering work.
